Jump into Reading!

Many,many thanks to Alex Hardy for making this website possible for me:) When I started teaching 34 years ago, my biggest challenge was how to run the filmstrip projector. Boy have we come a long way.

My terrific third graders are currently working on the story element  fantasy and traditional literature. We have enjoyed reading several versions of Rumpelstiltskin and Jack and the Beanstalk. Today we worked together on a crossword puzzle from Jack and the Beanstalk.The third graders are definitely hard workers.

My sensational second graders are moving along in Reading Mastery and becoming quite good readers. It seems they have stories to relate for everything we read!!

Last, but certainly not least, my fantastic first graders are reading silly poems and are almost finished with their first Reading Mastery book. It is so much fun to see them be so excited about reading and want to all read first:)
